Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) is a national alcohol awareness program approved by all 50 states and the District of Columbia.The purpose of the TIPS program is to teach servers of alcohol acceptable, and helpful, standards for responsible alcohol service. Participants learn about the effects of alcohol consumption and gain an understanding of the social and legal responsibilities associated with the service of alcohol. Through interactive class discussion and skills training exercises, participants learn to recognize potential problems and intervene in a tactful manner to prevent alcohol-related tragedies. TIPS certification classes are hosted by the Authentic Bartending School of Maryland and are taught by licensed TIPS instructors. See below for registration information.
